Introduction Video for Course

I thought I would share my latest introduction video for a course I am teaching with Queens University. I have taught this course a number of times over the last few years (see the links above) but this is the first time I have created a video for the course. Incidentally, I also created a similar video for my 832 course on the "Connected Classroom" as well. 

If you scroll down further, you will see a Gantt chart I created to help students se the overlapping responsibilities required through the course to be successful.

Students are instructed to pay close attention to the timeline as represented by the chart. Since they have a number of diverse tasks that happen throughout the course, I thought this was a good way to convey the timelines and help students to stay on top of their work.

PME 832 - Schedule for Fall 2018

Welcome to F2018 PME 832. I am very happy to be teaching this course as it is highly relevant to teachers at all levels. The connection referred to in the title of the course includes the connections from each of us to our students, from our students to their classmates, to their community, and perhaps most importantly to the knowledge and experiences they have in their daily lives.
